ok so in a world where RT makes it canon that Weiss has romantic feelings for Yang, but doesn't immediately show indications of Yang reciprocating those feelings, how would you want Weiss to confess? if the audience is shown Weiss' realization of her feelings way way before the big battle with Salem, would you rather Weiss confess asap, or would you want her to wait after they defeat the big bads?

Well, I’d want her to confess before the big bad’s. I feel like Weiss is so used to hiding her feelings and what she wants, that it’d be a big step up for her to just go for it. We’ve already seen her slowly come out of her shell, especially with her being so huggy in this last volume.

It’d only feel right for her to take the initiative and tell Yang that she likes her. Like Weiss is the person to call out other people, to see how their doing she isn’t afraid to talk to people. And now with Yang, like, we’ve already seen she isn’t fully afraid to talk about herself and how she feels. As Yang has accepted that part of her with the very mutual talk that they had.

If I’m being completely honest, the talk, to me…Was already a small indication on how Weiss feels. While she clearly cares for everyone, she made it especially clear to Yang. Someone who fully needed that sort of validation. Weiss is slowly starting to put her feelings out there. That, “Hey, I’m here for you too!” 

It would only feel right if she would do it, not necessarily asap, but as soon as she was sure of herself and found the right™ moment. Plus, we’ve already seen her ask out Neptune so it only feels right that she’d go out there and try to get what she wants, because that’s who she is. And her asking out Yang in a private moment would be able to parallel when she was rejected. (that and add a non-wilted white flower in the background and viola, we have an actual parallel except Weiss wasn’t rejected.)

Though in reality, it might be smarter to do after the big bad’s…But we don’t know who lives and dies after their defeat. But that might be a very bittersweet way to go.

Either way, I’m all for Weiss asking Yang out as soon as the timing is right. But I do feel like it might happen in a spur of the moment sort of setting.
